Jabil Guadalajara contributes to the success of some of the world’s most well-known brands in a variety of sectors including healthcare, industrial, mobility, telecom, and networking infrastructure. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Jabil Guadalajara boasts approximately 363,000 square feet of manufacturing space and offers delivery solutions country to country within five days using corporate air freight rates.
Jabil Guadalajara has a strong rapport with local government bodies and customs, enabling streamlined logistics. And as at all Jabil locations, the Guadalajara site has implemented Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies, decreasing waste and defects while optimizing total landed costs.
Giving Back to the Community
The team at Jabil Guadalajara actively engages in community events and hosts fundraisers to raise money and collect donations for people in need. Many of the events employees participate in are seasonal. For Mother’s Day, team members visit the local female jail to celebrate and pass out gifts to mothers who could not be with their children. In winter, Guadalajara serves as a collection site for winter clothes. From there, clothes are donated to the Manos que Trabajan Para Ayudar Institution where they are distributed to migrant workers in La Bestia train. Guadalajara employees strongly believe in giving back, especially around the holidays. Employees participate in Christmas celebrations by handing out presents to 25 grandmothers who are abandoned in an institution named “Asunción de María,” and also to more than 150 boys and girls in an event called “Letter to Santa.”
Other community involvement includes celebrating and giving presents to children on Children’s Day; collecting items in good condition to be donated to individuals in low-income areas; donating hair to help children undergoing chemotherapy; visiting the Florecita del Carmen Institution, where employees dance and do arts and crafts with young girls who are victims of abuse; blood donations held on-site; donations for victims of the Odile Hurricane; and planting more than 1,000 trees in an area of the forest that Jabil Guadalajara adopted.
